Talents

Just wanted to thank Danielle over at http://designgirlblogdesign.blogspot.com/
for all of her help designing my blog. This is definitely her talent and not mine!

As many of you know, I am still learning my way around in this Blog world. Danielle was super nice and easy to work with. I think she did a great job and was very time efficient. In addition, she was very sensitive to my requests and vision for my blog.

I love the new look. It is a daily dose of sunshine in and of itself!

Thanks Again Danielle!

You don't know who I am, but I stumbled across this blog today. I am going through a dark time in my life. You wrote about darkness, once, and that's exactly where I am. I can't tell you how sorry I am for your immeasurable loss. How insignificant my words seem as I type them! How pale, and small, and little these words are. I am sure you have heard condolences far more eloquent than mine, from people who matter to you, but I am deeply truly sorry. I also can't thank you enough for how you've used memories and the overwhelming love that lives within you to create something out of the darkness. You are living the words you write, and having an impact far beyond what you know.

You see, I needed a beacon, desperately. I needed to find sunshine, and a random mouseclick brought me to Jeremy's smile. Now I feel bathed in light, and I can smile for the first time in an eternity. Genuinely smile, and not feel hollow. Smile with all of me, the way Jeremy does. The smile of the unburdened, and the free.

Thank you for the wisdom of your words. You may not see it, but there is a raw, deeply human truth in everything here. A truth I had forgotten, or perhaps chosen to ignore.

And thank you Jeremy, for saving me, and any of us who'll listen.

Hi Amy!
Once again my fascination with Beth Moore studies has opened my eyes to remind me of some of the wonderful ways in which God works. I wanted to share this part with you knowing that you are most likely clinging to every bit of sunshine you can get in the coming weeks. It's from her latest study, "Esther".

"Sometimes Christ walks through our crisis dressed in the best disguise of all: ordinary events. He tucks a miracle in the fold of His robe and sweeps in and out unnoticed. Only in retrospect do we realize that a divine visitation graced our cold, crude winter and the resurrection of spring is on it's way."

I could continue and just quote the remaining paragraph, but I felt that statement alone was enough to drive the point home! I love her reference to the "resurrection of spring". It made me think of you immediately as I could picture you standing in the midst of a cold and brutal winter with the sun peeking out over the horizon behind you. It was as if God was reminding me, and you, that sometimes we don't even see the spring coming. It sneaks in so quietly and the next thing you know you are surrounded by sunshine! What an awesome vision of hope He gave me for you. He knows how hard this trial has been for you and that you will carry the chill of your "winter" with you for years to come. However, He longs for you to know that in the midst of it all, He was there, sneaking in to grace you with His presence. When you felt attacked by the wind and the rain, He was there to keep you in the shadow of His wings so you wouldn't be overpowered by it all. When you felt your feet could hold you up no longer, He was there to wrap His arms around you and give you the strength only He could give. When you looked at the road ahead of you and saw only more mountains to climb, He was running ahead to make sure the path was clear and unobstructed so you would know the way. As you stand here today, wishing and longing for spring to come, shining those rays of sunshine on your tattered and worn out soul, He is calling you to open your eyes and see that it's here! You have made it through what is most likely going to be one of the most challenging years of your life and you are almost to the other side of that long dark tunnel. Don't let satan pull you back in, dear Amy. Don't let him wear you out by convincing you that there is only more darkness to come. Jesus is waiting very near by for you to open His robe and find the miracles of every day life He has been storing for you. Whether it be the simple smile on your children's faces when they run to you after a long day at school or a sweet, quiet moment with your husband. He is there in those moments and He wants you to feel the warmth they provide.

I pray that as you face these coming days, your heart will be flooded with so many good warm memories of how He redeemed you and brought your feet to a higher ground. Jeremy has already made it to his ultimate destination! You are only waiting for the remaining miracles of this life before you can reach yours. God is not done with you yet. Appparently He has much more for you to do before you join your sweet angel baby in paradise. As hard as it may be sometimes, don't miss out on the miracle of these moments in your longing to finish this difficult journey. In the mean time, touch the hem of His cloak when you rise in the morning, lift your face to His rays of Sonshine, and be filled with the joy of the Lord! Another battle lost for satan, another victory for our Savior!

In His grip,
Julie
